My name is Morgan Flake and I was born and raised in the Ozarks, more specifically southern Missouri. I grew up with two brothers (me being the middle child), my mom and dad, and various critters and pets. I usually describe myself as a little bit hippie, little bit country, and a little bit rock and roll. I have always been very independent and free-spirited, both of which I inherited from my grandma Vanessa and my mamma. Growing up I always loved getting outside, going for long walks to nowhere, and taking pictures of things I saw along the way. However, it wasn’t till my senior year of high school that I realized I wanted to pursue photography as a career. I was about to graduate high school with no clue what I wanted to study in college or pursue as a career. I knew I wanted to travel the world but that was about the only thing I was certain of. I started thinking long and hard about what I really loved to do and never really got tired of. Eventually, I remembered all the times I would walk around taking pictures and how many birthdays I begged for a new camera. That’s when I realized how much I truly loved photography. After I came to this realization, I started getting more serious about photography and trying to develop my skills. Now I am a senior in college about to graduate and ready to get life started in the real world.
A few little random facts about me, I LOVE flatwater kayaking. My favorite thing to do besides take pictures is go floating down the rivers of Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas. I am also an outdoors junkie. I like to play beach volleyball, go hiking, floating (obvi as I mentioned previously), swimming, and basically anything outdoors or on the water. I also love animals and want to someday have my own little hobby farm with goats, llamas, alpacas, cows, horses, and any other animal I can legally own. I am very much a tomboy but also have my girly days. I am not afraid to get dirty working hard but I also enjoy putting on a full face of makeup. I grew up with lots of boys, so I have few WWE up my sleeves. That’s me in a nutshell!
